Summer Is Truly Here
The past month has seen heatwaves spark across Europe, with high temperatures reaching record levels, going above 40C (104F). While sunny warm weather is something I enjoy, the heat in the recent spells has been particularly unbearable. Be sure that you are drinking loads and staying cool as best you can!

Book: Artemis Fowl
Artemis Fowl is a book series that follows a boy genius of the same name in his adventures with the fairy underworld, starting with the kidnapping of a fairy in an effort to capture some of the fairy gold for his own. A story that I’ve been re-reading from my childhood archives given the upcoming film, plus some light reading in the summer heat.
Board Game: Escape the Dark Castle
A simple, beautifully themed fantasy adventure game for 1-4 people, this has you each pick a mundane prisoner trying to escape as you work together to overcome obstacles and escape the dark castle where you were imprisoned. With every game only taking at most 30 minutes and being different each time you play, there’s lots of replayability.
Video Game: Satisfactory
An Epic Games store exclusive, Satisfactory is nonetheless a pretty awesome game, especially when played with friends. Take control of constructing an ever bigger factory from mining resources, to building the nuts and bolts to build ever bigger constructions. It’s rather fun if you are into that kind of thing!
Show: Good Omens
Based on the book by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, this show follows the story of the angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and the demon Crowley (David Tennant) working together to find the anti-christ and prevent the apocalypse and the end of the world. Funny, witty and very endearing. Available to watch exclusively on Amazon.

Pancakes | Hamster Kitchen
Just the kind of silly, cute video you need to enjoy while sipping on a freshly pressed lemonade out in the sun. A cute critter eating a cutely sized pancake! What a beautiful delicacy this is! A charming collection of fun and delight! A magical moment of true joy compressed into a size that can be stuffed directly into the cheeks of a waiting hamster. And then go have human sized treats of the same kind and wonder just what it would be like to be as small as that and have all your food prepared for you so nicely! And I’ll go sit down before I implode from too much cuteness.
